This is why I love this thread. The coolest god damn album covers get posted here all the time.

Not sure what to think about the music though. It's definitely different from most of the stuff I normally listen to.

It's very slow, very plodding and a fair share atmospheric, but when it explodes.. oh man. That said, if you're not in the mood it probably feels absolutely boring, haha.

And yeah, that album art is gorgeous. I'd say definitely my favorite from 2013.

Buckethead - Pike 66 : Leave the Light On x2

GAAAH. THIS ALBUM IS SO GOOD.

Twice.

Yes, this was the leak, but guess what? I liked it enough to buy it when it comes out, which I was not planning on doing before. So there. :p

Honestly though, I really enjoyed it. Do I miss old Opeth? Of course. Do I like "new" Opeth? If they make more albums like this one (and not Heritage), then hell yeah!

Soulfly is a band that I have a love/hate relationship with. They have a few good albums, Dark Ages, Conquer, Prophecy, and then a lot of shitty albums like Back to the Primitive, Savages, and Omen. This one has some decent thrashers in Brasil, Last of the Mohicans, and Call to Arms.
