here's another "guess the amp" thread....
recorded with my strat and the m201...so it's a real miced amp, no simulation or impulse crap

BUT it was recorded at REALLY low volume hence missing some punch

guess

so what do you think wich brand amp it is?
and if you guessed the brand...what model?
amp's boosted btw.

I know, bass and guit are a notch outta tune ;)

would be great if someone could program some drums..would love to hear it with drums.

I miced the matching speaker (same brand as amp), I guess that's got a very big part on the sound...curious to try this amp with another speaker

Hmm, quite middy and a bit muffled and sludgy, though I guess the low volume probably contributes to some/all of those factors; my first guess would be Laney, but since as far as I know you don't have Laney cab, I'm gonna Dual Rec, simply because you don't have a Marshall or Engl amp! (or do you still have a Fireball? In that case, that'd be my second guess) Bass is too loud though IMO, but sounds good!

ah,, I had laney cabs, engls straight, powerball, fireball, blackmore, savage, soldano, MANY marshalls (800, 900, JM, valvestate), many boogies......
I'd say the used speaker is the main reason for this very middy sound

HAD being the key word though, since I know you sold the JMP (can't pull a fast one on me Lasse! :D) Looking forward to finding out!

Holy shit, I can't believe I was right! :D Well, sounds better than I could ever imagine the little thing sounding anyway! Did you seriously mic up the little matching speaker?
