latency issue with toneport gearbox and cubase

hey I'm having trouble monitoring the toneport through cubase. It's pretty bad too and I tried adjusting the buffer rate but it didn't help at all any suggestions?

You are probably using the wrong audio driver.
Go to Devices -> Device Setup -> VST Audiobay -> Master ASIO Driver

Check if your option is something like "ASIO Toneport UX2" (or UX1, or KB37, etc)

make sure you use ASIO drivers in Cubase and not multimedia ones or directx.
