Ok, what about power? Maybe the interface is not receiving enough power for some reason. Have you tried unplugging everything that's not necessary? Also, have you tried another USB port?

It's not connected to a hub, but I could try another port, the only other thing than my mouse connected by USB is my mouse and a fan, without that it'll get warm. btw, it's a laptop. I'll try without the fan.
