I know a few latin american bands...

The ones i can remember:

Dies Irae
Under Moonlight Sadness
Transmetal
Shamas (o algo asi, la neta no me acuerdo)

Y habían un monton mas, pero no me acuerdo de ellas...

What do you think about latin american bands?? Have u ever heard any???

There are 2 Dies Irae bands, and the good one is from Europe.

Poema Arancvs from Chile are a band to check out
their Iconclast album is the best metal debut of 2002 in my opinion

yeah as Loco said All That I Bleed, also there's Krisiun (Brazil) and Disgorge (Mex)

Brujeria is the most well known "mexican" band
other good ones are: the chasm,shamash,the zephyr and buried dreams(I don't like this one but people say they kick ass)
also disgorge and phyphomgertum

yeah, i don't like brujeria either, but they have some really funny lyrics... And by the way: BRUJERIA ain't mexican, its a band formed by members of: Fear Factory, and some others that i can't remember right now, only the vocalist is mexican... lives in L.A..

oh com on!! Dies Irae (the mexican band) its really good, it maybe sonds a little bit like in flames (ok, a LOT), but it's quite good music and the bass player kick ass!!... but... hehehe.. i haven't listen to de other DIES IRAE... any way, i think the mexican it's quite good...

And by the way: Disgorge are from my hometown!!
