Lecto Sim, How Close To the Real Thing?

Was just wondering if there are any Mesa owners out there who've used the Lecto sim and can comment on how close it approximates the real thing.

-Thanks

No amp sim will sound like the real thing.
But the Lecto sounds AMAZING.
It's free, so why do you really need to ask this?
Just try it out
(Obviously, make sure you have some impulses on hand though.)

I am using the Lecto, that's why I'm asking. Can't afford a real Mesa atm, but perhaps in the future, that's why I'm asking today.

I've used both, don't own a real one but I know a guy that does and yeah, for a sim it's probably the closest of all the sims. Just like it was intended to be. Of course with a million different impulses available it's really a million different sounds. I'd personally rather have a 5150 but that's mainly the money vs. value factor.

Yeah, it's pretty close to the Dual Rec I have here. Certainly the closest and best feeling of anything else out there, that I have tried anyway.

I have an older dual recto and as a preamp it sounds really close, byt the impulse makes a big difference tho, as atleast with Ryan's s-highpres impulse the 1-6khz range sounds way different, for better or worse.

This is very interesting.

Right now I'm using a combo of Own Hammer Mesa 4X12 and ReCabinet Tangerines for IRs. Am definitely getting the best sim/IR tones out of this combo that I have ever gotten out of a sim before.

I think it's really close, would be awesome if somebody could reamp a track with this chain:
Guitar-Recto-Cab-Mic
Guitar-Lecto-Recto Poweramp-Cab-Mic

Yeah, preferably with identical settings.

I'd rather have the person recording it tweak them so they sound the same, since even if the knobs in Lecto aren't calibrated exactly like on the amp, it doesn't mean you can't dial it to sound the same.

The tone controls on Recto's are a bit weird, and LePou really captured the way they respond in the sim. I find myself using pretty much the same settings in Lecto as I as do on my 3 channel DR.

everything sounds way different with Ryan's impulse (agree on the "for better or for worse" thing)
