My first reco, just testing the waters here.
A very unknown band playing melodeath/doom. Anyway, great melodies, good vox, both clean and growled. They put their demo up for free download if youre interested. Enjoy:

Secondly a better known band but still deserving of some free publicity. Bornholm is a black metal band from Hungary. Their sound is best described as black metal anthems. Very epic and powerful stuff.

yeah Bornholm is excellent. First band new to me, don't really see myself getting further acquainted, although I've heard far, far worse in the genre.
