Let's talk about tattoos

But it is less expensive if the tatoo artist doesn't have to take too much time to re-draw the design :)

It was the same price (and doesn't take that long really).

I am going to have a new tatoo by the end of august. On my leg, one of Niklas' design :D
I'll come up with some pictures as soon as it'll be done for sure! :D
It'll kick ass!!!!! :Smokin:

Oi!!!!!!!! :D

An original work, or something we may have seen before? :)

And I'm definitely getting something, I just need to actually grow some muscles first so I doesn't look too dumb.

Something you may have seen somewhere before...
But it's not too obvious like the Mind's I for example, or just a DT logo or anything...
Anyway, he doesn't have time for an original work ! :)

Yeah, I always have this rather fan-ish idea that I could run up to him and be all "could you make an awesome picture for meeee!?!". Ok, nevermind...

I can't help wanting to guess what it is you're getting. About how big is it gonna be?

1. Legs are untouchable.
2. Meat isn't necessary to have a tattoo - I had one done when I was rather slim, got bigger since then, so there was no point in waiting. For whom how, of course, but that's a rather lame excuse :)
3. And girls with colorful tattoos all over the body ARE scary to me :D

Oh, I know that the muscle isn't necessary for the tattoo, but I'm planning on working out and getting myself into some shape anyway, so I'd rather have it put on then, instead of being possibly stretched or something.

And I got quite used to girls with tats, living in the East Village for four years. :)

Eeeeee
It wasn't a fan-ish idea like you said. I saw the drawing, I didn't even know that it was Niklas' work. I thought the drawing was great and I decided that it was going to be my second tatoo. More than a year later I learned that it was his work. Ok then, cool, but it's not because I am a fan of DT that I want that for a tatoo !
It's going to be maybe half of my calf... in the center of it of course. We'll see. I am going to see the tatoo artist on august 10th. (Ex-Cryptopsy singer hehe)

Even sharing apartment with she-males for that number of years wouldn't make me OK with chicks-with-dicks, you know, but that's another sad story :D

It won't stretch :) Not likely, at least, but that would depend on where you want it on. Just FYI: penis isn't a muscle... and those enlargement pills don't work. I tried :zombie:

Oh, well that's pretty damn cool then, that you liked it before you knew where it was from. It means you won't regret it later if you stop liking DT or something :p

As for me... well, yeah, I thought about Nightfall on my back for about 5 seconds before rationality won out over blind "OMGSUNDINISAWESOME" awe regarding the detailing. That would hurt like a bi-otch.

Haha, point taken.

"You know what they say about cutting off an appendage and it growing back bigger? ..... They're wrong....", Troll Male '/silly' command :)

I know it probably wouldn't stretch on my shoulder, as there's not much growing that would probably do, but the conversion from fatness to uber-muscle I'm planing for my arms probably would do some damage. Now, of course, that implies I'll actually go through with the exercise, but I think I've finally motivated myself on that front.

/silly - got to try that one :)

I hear ye, - being in a good shape is always good ;) Just don't overdo it - I was so sore all last week :) Fun.

And yeah - that was your idea to have Nightfall tattood on one's back... who knows :D

That's my biggest fear of having a tatoo ! Getting bored of it or whatever... That's why it takes time before I decide to do it. It's been more than a year now that I am taking the decision, choosing a tatoo artiste, prices, etc... It'll be awesome, I am sure of it now! :D

Haha, I totally knew what I wanted before getting it, and decision I made - I never did regret it :) First it's hard to get used to [the thought] that something is permanent on your skin for the rest of your life (or even slightly longer :D), but it's not that big of a deal after some time (especially after it stops hurting, and doesn't remind of itself).

Quite any tattoo can be removed. Hurts and stuff, but if you need it - you can do it.

I saw a guy once, young guy, like 20 or something, with tattoos on his face (around eye) and chin. I asked him, out of curiosity - "Why?" I expected something rational, but the answer was "I just not gona work any more". Not my business, but with the amount of snow around it was more or less obvious.

well, if you want that, you need to find out for sure. Have you actually experienced anything like this already, that a normal wound would need longer healing time? Or are they just assuming it? You could also talk to tattooers and hear if they know anything about it.

yep, but don´t get satisfied with any superficial explanation. Ask to see their autoclave where they sterilize the tattooing machine, and as Plintus said, they must use new needles every time. Also they need to wear gloves and the whole place should look as clean as possible. This plus proper care should ensure that everything goes well. And never drink (or smoke whatever) just to calm your nerves. First of all, tattooers should have an ethic code not to tattoo anyone intoxicated, and second, the alcohol dilates the veins, so that you´ll bleed more, so it´s pretty stupid to drink for relaxation before tattooing.

The motif you have suggested, it seems pretty suitable for a first tattoo and it´s not so big, so if you´re worried about healing, this should be manageable and then you can see how it goes.

Btw, I had links to good sites with information, but that was a few years ago and now I cannot find the stuff anymore, so you´ll have to search yourself :D

Yeah, sometimes some wounds will heal very slowly, and sometimes they don't. I remeber one time I cut my finger, and a week and a half later the wound was starting to dissapear. Note, a week and a half. But for example, when i shave, if I cut myslef, 'tis only 2-3 days before the wound dissapears.

Yeah I won't get one in a place that doesn't convince me, and i'll definetly look for one that has an autoclave. Do all tatoo places have to have one?

Allright, i won't drink from two days before. Didn't know that, thanx for the tip.

Yeah, I also think the :.:: is a good tatoo to start with, just to see how it goes.

Don't worry about the links, but if you casually find them, feel free to post 'em hehe.

Once again, thanx a lot for the info. I must admit I am ignorant on the subject, so if you have more suggestions please do tell me.

:) Gracias:) .

There is a very special place in Hell for people who use exactly that kind of language

Well that's what I've planed 2. I will have a place in hell next to Prince and he is a sexual abuser, so that'll suite me well. :heh:

as far as I know, yes. Don´t know about any other method to sterilize the tattooing-machine.

Plintus: not like these guys :D
The place is messy and they seem to have both been drinking

Taneli Jarva might be a grand musician and hot guy, but I would never go there for a tattoo. But if you are in his band, you´re doomed, he also did tats for the other guys :D

no one's gonna beat this guy
