Let's work together and use this topic to create a huge list of festivals, where we would love to see Seventh Wonder on stage!

We know the guys would love to play live, so let's help them! There are a lot of obvious festivals out there, but no one knows all festivals that exist. So let's join forces!

Do you know a festival you want Seventh Wonder to play at? Share your information!

The band can use the list to contact the festival organisators and we can use the list too to write them mails and tell them that we WANT to see Seventh Wonder live! :D

What do we need?
1. The name of the festival
2. The website URL (or addresses)

If you want to write yourself to a festival organisator or a club or whatever, please don't forget to let them know a bit about the band and include the following addresses in your mails, so they can get further information about the band:

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/seventhwonderofficial
Website: http://www.seventhwonder.nu/
Reverbnation: http://www.reverbnation.com/seventhwonderofficial
MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/officialSW

Did I forget something? If so - let me know!

-------------------------------------------------------------------

To start this topic, here is a list of the festivals that came to my mind first:

Night Of The Prog Festival (Germany)

Website: http://www.wiventertainment.de/

- Best festival ever!

Generation Prog (Germany)

Website: http://www.generation-prog.com/

- New festival, I hope it will be successful!

Bang Your Head!!! Festival (Germany)

Website: http://www.bang-your-head.de/

- Not really a prog festival, but sometimes they have more proggy bands, I've seen there Fates Warning last year and Psychotic Waltz this year. And they are thinking about bringing in new genres to enlarge the audience.

Progressive Promotion Festival (Germany)

Website: http://www.progressive-promotion-records.com/

- Sadly this seems to be a one-off festival. But who knows, maybe they will do it more often if this is a success (which it surely will be with this line-up)

I will post again, when I know more.

So - who's next? :Spin:

Two festivals come to mind at the moment:

Graspop (Belgium)

Website: http://www.graspop.be

- In the last couple of years Dream Theater, Evergrey and Anathema were part of the line-up, so I don't see a problem for SW to fit in as well.

Dokk'em Open Air (the Netherlands)

Website: http://www.dokkemopenair.eu/

- A bit more Prog-oriented. I already sent a mail/request to the programmer this year but that (obviously) failed with Evergrey, Pagan's Mind and Cirrha Niva already in the line-up. If we are early requesting/promoting, next year could be an option... The possibility to subscribe starts in September.

Hi all,
I registered just for this topic*..., so I proceed: ARTmania - Romania, http://www.artmania.ro/.
This year's headliners are Helloween, Sonata Arctica, Tarja (etc.)
Last year it was the second to last concert for Kamelot with Roy Khan.
Not so sure it fits the SW style, but it's worth the try.
*man, it is very difficult to post on this forum, it is my fifth** attempt... something is wrong withe the platform?
** seventh, maybe I get lucky this time...

Well, you succeeded now so kudos for not giving up!
Thanks for the contribution and "welcome to the forum" as well .

Oh, Bloodstock would indeed be very good!

How about these two:

Fused Festival (UK)

Website: http://www.fusedfestival.com/

It's a relatively new prog festival in the UK - To-Mera, Haken, Threshold and Vanden Plas played there this year.

Summer's End Festival (UK)

Website: http://www.summersend.co.uk/

The festival calls itself "the UK's longest running and best-loved prog rock festival."

This one is bigger, but maybe still interesting?

High Voltage Fesitval (UK)

Website: http://www.highvoltagefestival.com

Bloodstock Festival (UK)
http://www.bloodstock.uk.com/

Download Festival (UK)
http://www.downloadfestival.com/

Sonisphere (UK & Others)
http://uk.sonispherefestivals.com/

SW would probably fit in well at Bloodstock, Download and Sonisphere are slightly more mainstream but I remember Dream Theater filling one of the tents at Download, so there's definitely an audience for SW.

In 2009 it was more than a tent: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uT4BTnByqlI&feature=related[/ame] !

Here's a new one, and a quite interesting one as well IMO:

Power Prog & Metal Fest 2012 (Belgium) - April 7th and 8th.

Website: http://www.ppmfest.com/

Accept, Blind Guardian and Septic Flesh are on the bill right now.
It's very clear there has to be a Progmetal band on the program as well ;) !!

Looks like a very good fest to me: this year Europe, Hammerfall, Gamma Ray, Rage and Edguy were on the bill - we need to do some serious Seventh Wonder-PR for this one!!

More and more bands are (and will be) announced (soon) for a few festivals mentioned in this thread so:

"People, it's time to unite and get those e-mails to the programmers"! :headbang:

Some of the mentioned festivals still have to take place this year (with full line-ups) so maybe it's a good thing if we 'aim' all together for two or three festivals in 2012 to get SW's name more noticeable there.
I wrote an e-mail to the 'PPM-fest' (with already a couple of bands on the bill for 2012 - not completed yet, but we mustn't wait too long) and to 'Graspop', they seem like very decent choices at the moment - and they're great festivals for sure!.

Well, I wrote to PPM, GenerationProg and Night Of The Prog.

I also dropped the name to the Bang Your Head Festival with adding the name to their poll on Facebook.

I also would like to point out that for me it is REALLY important SW will play Sweden Rock next year.... So I filled out their wish-list form of course.

:hotjump:

From the 'Fused Festival' Facebook-page:
Fused Festival 2012,
May 25-27th 2012.
CONFIRMED AS OF 18.09.2011:

Seventh Wonder (SWE)

Hell yeah! :danceboy:
