3 - Seventh Circle Audio API 312 clone
8 - Presonus Digimax LT pres

The Apogee and SCA pres handle all vocals, guitars, bass, etc. Digimax pres get used on drum triggers, DI's, scratch tracks, close mic'd cymbals and resonant drum heads. Gets the job done in my small studio.

I really need to get some good 2-4 channel preamp to replace the SM, was thinking of getting either the RME quadmic or Focusrite Octopre. Any other suggestions?

If I could just score a good 2 ch I would be set. I don't record real drums anymore so I could just run the 2 ch on overheads, guitars, belly button lint, etc... and be all good.

hey dude, NO!NO!NO! they are normalled through the patch bay straight into Pro Tools and the desk is a mackie 32:8 Bus way better than the Onyx, but id still rather have some more outboard channels
