Live CD

In my opinion, it would be nice to have an official Opeth live CD.

What are your opinions?

Well they'd have to make it like a 3CD album to get a good amount of songs on there.
I'd probably just prefer another live DVD... I made an audio rip of the DVD and it sounds great on its own.

I'm not a fan of most live cds, mainly because I'd rather just hear the music without all the distracting background noise you get from the audience...but if Opeth came out with one I'd probably check it out, if only because it's Opeth...

yeah as R0l0 said, i would rather see another live dvd, covering their back catalogue, over a live cd, that would kick some major ass

Opeth had the chance to make the Live CD. Did you see Pain of Salvation's new DVD? It INCLUDED a Live CD along with the DVD. Opeth has missed their chance to release the live CD along with their DVD. If they release one for no reason, it would just be odd and make me sad. If they released another DVD with a decent case and played old songs, that would be good for the live CD.

Live CD's/DVD's are alright, but only if the band played really well. The more you listen to a live performence, the more you pick up on the mistakes and out of tune singing. The Lamentaions DVD sounds worse everytime I watch it.

But that's just me.

Having said that, i'd still pick up an official Live Opeth CD if they released one, as long as it wasn't the same Lamentaions concert again..
