Really wish I lived much closer so I could see the band all the time, some of you mofo's are lucky as hell to see these ladies in concert several times. I have seen them once and can't get enough. Is it later in the year yet so they will be back up in the northwest? :worship:

I get very jealous of these people who've seen them loads *coughjeffmilnecough*

To increase your jealousy even more, I'll let you know that I walked away from last night's show with Aja's copy of the set list [with all sorts of extra text handwritten in] and a free copy of the CD :D

Jeff can you post the setlist? First time I've heard Invaders or Losfer Words I think.. Aja's notes, well she narrated the whole middle section of Rime so that musta been difficult to remember! They had WAY more energy than I thought they would after the demanding schedule on PNW tour.

Setlist

1. Be Quick or be dead [BBQ on setlist]
2. Trooper
3. 22 Acacia Ave
4. Flight of Icarus
5. Revelations
6. Losfer Words
7. # of the Beast
8. Rime of The Ancient Mariner
9. Prowler
10. Fear of the Dark
11. Invaders
12. Hallowed Be Thy Name
13. Iron Maiden
14. Run to the Hills

The original lineup of the MaidenS [2001-2002] used to play Losfer Words. I think Invaders was debuted Nov 12th last year at Paladino's. If you hadn't shown up last night Crank, I'd now have seen them twice as many times as you, but since you did show up, we're at 44 and 23.

In SoCal... yes we are very lucky to live where we do... and lucky the MaidenS like to perform as often as they do. You can tell they dig it just as much as the fans!

:) Yes Jeff, you are the Iron Man! Don't know if anyone could ever catch your record! Wonder if I'm #2 though... ?

Awhile ago Red Shirt told me he's seen 25 shows, and he's seen them at least a couple times since then, so you're not second, but you may be third or fourth.

I love the spoken word part of Rime- it's so dramatic! I'm glad you guys liked my rendition. I've been wanting to do it for a while, so it was already in my head. The tricky part is knowing when to come in!

It's funny how that works. You'd think a song as long and complex as Rime would be next to impossible to remember. But some songs just hit you where you live and for me this is one of them. I think it's because it's such a great story, along with the beauty of the melody and the brilliance of the composition. It's definitely one of my all time favorites to sing. And I just love how all the heads in the audience start banging in unison when the band kicks in! :headbang:

All right, I am going to have to go out there during the summer.... prolly after I go see Maiden at Ozzfest sometimes in August.... I do have some plans to visit a friend in Riverside, so I am just going to have to drag her out to see y'all......

I gotta be up in the top 10 or so... during those fun 2002-2003 days I almost equaled Jeff and Red Shirt for show attendance, but sadly with schedule change I haven't seen the band with Aja yet! :(

You're only a voice on the phone to me, Mike! Hope the scheddy changes soon (at least enough to allow a show in!) and we meet in the flesh one day!
