Its not like Tristania is getting played on any or much Video TV (ala MTV / Fuse / VH1 / etc.) And besides who gives a rat ass when your 100 feet away from the band (in a large venue).

Nonetheless looks have no role in metal lol, because well... I don't see much if any metal on TV (Headbangers ball is about it and they usually play the same 2-3 genre's).

Lets look at 90% of the metal band and out of the thousands and thousands of musicians I would wager maybe 5-15% would be "attractive" to the opposite sex, so yes, looks do NOT MATTER. Your naming 1 band, shall I name tons of bands who's members are "ugly" and yet are very good?

although I will agree that you have to have long hair and be somewhat macho/tough looking to be able to play in a band like slayer or cannibal corpse

Image matters naught when it comes to music. I saw a King Crimson DVD from '84 and they looked ridiculous. Adrian Belew was wearing a silly dress and kept smiling with his crooked teeth and Tony Levin looked like he belonged in the Village People and Robert Fripp looked like a middle aged school teacher. Bill Bruford wasn't that weird looking though. I didn't mind, because the music was so incredible.

Okay, so which band do YOU think Wade there would fit into? (I Googled "Wade", but it could be any of several of the hundreds of millions who just are missing... something... to play in an A, B, or C list metal band.)
