that's what i do to, but i have one big problem with the UX1, as soon as i hit my strings a bit harder on the low strings, the unprocessed track clips, and i'm using a duncan full shred in a gibson les paul, which is not a pickup with extreme output.

sucks that they have put a gain knob for the intrument input, there's only one for the mic input.

Yeah I dont really want a toneport, not into modelling much but I have amplitube 2 if I do want to use it at all. I'd rather just have a standard interface to use as an external soundcard. Dont want an mbox either as I dont use protools and dont really want to change from Reaper now I've got used to it.

I think I'm just gonna go for the Edirol UA-25EX unless anyone can think of any reason why I shouldnt.
