Looking for an Honest opinion...

If the songs are going to be in the same vein (ie. lyrical style), keep the name. If your gonna branch out and try something different, start fresh with a new name. :headbang:

If you do choose to continue the legacy of MOD, put in some Ballads. Maybe even the ballad of anthrax

The whole album could be about the destruction af Anthrax. I'm sure he has plenty of material.

I have been debating on doing another MOD record versus doing a new band.
What do you guys think??

I think going fresh and new is a good idea, Billy. New name, new ideas...fresh start. Sometimes the smallest change can create the biggest results.

agreed. I would love another MOD album but it also would be good to see a different look of Billy Milano. Maybe something more hardcore

I agree... go for something outside the m.o.d. style a bit.you can always do a great m.o.d. record, but i think an old-school style hardcore album would be sick! show these kids what it's about!!!!!

Whatever you work on, if its a legit old style hxc record you cant miss. Victim in Pain style AF, SSD, Negative Approach, most hardcore kids nowadays get butthurt though if youre anti PC, trust me I cornered this market.

I think something new would be cool!! Your fans will buy it regardless if it is SOD, MOD or whatever you plan to call it. I think if you are trying to branch out style wise then a new name and band would be ideal. I'll buy whatever you record so I guess it doesn't matter to me.

either/or.
go with what's pulling on your heart the strongest. only you know what that is.

I think you should do what would be most satisfying creatively. You obviously learned a lot recording Rebel and that would make a great launching pad for a new project. Rebel was a bit of a departure in many ways from your previous recordings and it took you in a great direction musically. No expectations, creative freedom...a new feel from the same old Billy we all know and love!...I think that's a cool idea. Rebel came out fucking awesome...I'm sure anything you do will only get better from there!...plus you have loyal friends and fans for support! Go for it...The Milano Project...Ballad of Jim Bob...get us some beers!...you're dead!

Ill do this when I get home for sure, thanks

I enjoy the irony in the first song bagging on wiggers and then in the next song using an Eazy E/NWA line

I used to hate wiggers and then I pretty much became a lyrical wigger myself

Do another M.O.D. record please. Otherwise I will have to change my fansite into an S.O.D. & M.O.D. & New Band Fansite.;) Just kidding.

I would buy whatever record you're going to release. If that will be an old school M.O.D. record I would be pleased. But, like some others said before, if the musical style is (very) different from what M.O.D. did until now, maybe you should release it under a new name. On the other hand, Metallica still uses the same name and have released albums in various styles.

Hm, I guess this answer doesn't help very much...
