Looking for Death Metal with a real groove to it, maybe some heavier Melodic Death (aside from Dark Tranquility & In Flames).

I think some Slam Death Metal might be up your alley but it might be too brutal for your tastes.

Suffocation and Devourment come to mind.

on a related note i'm looking for death metal that would be good for working out, something with good aggressive production and groove to as cliche as it sounds, get you pumped. right now i'm using aborted - the saw and the carnage done, skinless - trample the weak hurdle the dead and benighted - identisick. a lot of the brutal death stuff i tried just didn't have enough groove and slam to it and didn't work.

I lost Splenium For Nyktophobia and have no idea how. Fredrik Norrman from katatonia is one of the guitarist on this album which is interesting. Fredrik Norrman and Blakkheim should have formed a death metal band 15 years ago.

I've heard of these guys plenty but never had a chance to check out any of their albums before!!!
