Loose Organic OD/Dist pedal

Any suggestion for a od/distortion pedal that gives you a sort of sunn model t type of distortion, I mean looser and organic, let's say a bit similar to the proco rat distortion but with a better bass response (I like the proco rat but I find it a bit harsh).

I really like my Xotic AC Booster for that kind of thing.

It's a fuzz instead of a distortion, but if sludgy is your goal, then this will get it done. I know Matt Pike used this one on a couple tracks from the most recent High On Fire record.





This video is pretty comprehensive, but again, a lot of them are fuzzes instead of ODs.

I've become a huge fan of my Barber Direct Drive. It's very versatile. I doubt i'll every buy another OD pedal.
