New song idea, the first time I've written in months, but hey, there's no better therapy after a recent breakup Guitars are the ESP LTD in my sig, through TSE 808 --> Lecto --> Greg's ASEM impulse, drums are S2.0 - obviously all very raw, I still need to make a decent sounding drum preset, but let me know what you all think!

EDIT: Now with tweaked guitars and a beginning drum mix, so critiques on that end would be appreciated! Thanks Ermz, and all! And yeah, I really struck while the iron was hot and recorded everything without messing with anything mix-wise besides the levels, so once I finish up this tune I'll get to tweaking - thanks for enduring it in its current state

Fwiw I do all my guide tracks with TSE808, Nick Crow's 8505 and Ryan's Pres 8 impulse. Give it a shot, you may like! Works good for the melodeath stuff. Most of my clients find it responds somewhat like a real amp would.

Just make sure to have the mid sweep all the way down between 0 and 1 and likewise with the mid control!

Try to tweak that guitar tone a bit. You're definitely getting a bit too much of the grit in there. More high mids would help out too.

At first listen, the guitars sounded a little tubby, especially with a TS9 emulation, but it really started to grow on me. After a few listens, I'm not sure I would change anything (except the drum sounds!). Very thick, ballsy, and clinical sounding guitar tone.
