...Anyone into Lucid Dreams and Natural Trips through conscious dreaming????????

Much interesting topic actually.

Lucid dreaming, as in when you're aware that your dreaming and have some control over the dream? I've never had one of those, but I'd LOVE to have a lucid wet dream and do all the dirty things I haven't done in real life.

Yes. It is a dream where you are conscious, and aware that you are dreaming, and you are albe to somewhat control what you are doing and how the dream progresses.

...And funny as it sound, what you mentioned is possible Belial... if you're into that kind of thing.

When I was in college, I had many instances of rapid eye movement dreaming. My dreams occurred right in my room. I could see the room, but my dreams would be overlayed into the room. I would vividly remember trying to tell myself to get up. I could "feel" my entire body asleep. My mind would tell my body to move, but it couldn't.

Sounds like a trip, but these never happened when I partied - always when I was straight up.

You can induce lucid dreams easily. I've done this and it worked for me after a week or so. While you're awake, mentally ask yourself if you're dreaming. Do this as often as you can remember, it will become automatic and you'll remember to ask yourself like every 30-45 minutes or so. I did this for about a week, and then when I was sleeping, I suddenly heard a voice say "Am I dreaming" And I was awake in a dream, completely lucid... for a few minutes.

That's what i've been doing for ages. It beats taking drugs or anything like that, fuck that. There are no ends to what you can experience in a lucid dream, it can be like a trip, or it can be something totally different.

Quite often i have 'dreamed' of walking through crowded markets in india or something, with sitar music playing and snake charmers, but it was totally like a trip, mucked up colours, burring people when they move. Totally amazing experience.

In effect, you can naturally 'trip'.

I stopped trying for some reason, if you keep doing it can you remember more of the dream? I only remembered the beginning of it when I did it.

Why did you stop? Was it getting too intense, or is it too much work and effort to keep up?

Sometimes remembering the dream is the hardest part. You have to TRAIN yourself to become lucid in a dream, and you also have to TRAIN yourself to remember your dreams.

Sometimes i remembers bits and parts of dreams, sometimes i will just be doing something normally in my day (at work, doing weights, on this forum, etc) and things will come back to me.

I have been doing this for a long time, nearly three months, and it gets easier to remember things, your mind beccoms 'accustomed' to remembering the dreams.

...But sometimes it is best NOT to remember dreams. Just like it is with a trip, it is not always a good thing. You can have Lucid-Nightmares aswell. Now THAT is freaky. When you can actually feel someone hurting you is when you know you have to give it a rest for a while.

no. a totally different thing to a daydream.

You are 'thinking' in a daydream. Rather than imagining things (daydream) you can actually 'see' things like in a dream, and you can feel things.

I don't understand exactly how to approach doing this? I just keep asking myself am I dreaming and I'll be able to Lucid Dream? Is there a better explanation or a different way to do it? I guess I just don't quite understand

It definitely sounds neat to be able to self induce lucid dreams. I have had dreams where I am somewhat awake or feel like my body is about to wake up, and I am aware of what is going on in my dreams and know that they are just dreams. Is this the same thing?

*says to self "Am I dreaming?"*

That is one way to do it.

It's not like you can say 'Okay, i'm going to have a lucid dream now'.

You have to look for a 'sign' in your dream that you are dreaming. such as: If you see a pink elephant jump in front of you, you will know you are dreaming. It's not quite that simple tho, if a pink elephant jumps in front of you in a dream, you may not realize how strange that is.

The best way, is if you can remember a dream from another night, or part of another dream that oyu have had. Go to sleep thinking about that dream, and sometimes you will 'dream' yourself back into that dream, or into that place, and you will realize that you are dreaming, and you can remain conscious.

Another thing is if you are in a dream, but you haven't quite worked that out yet. Look at your watch... and then do it again in a few seconds. If you are in a dream, the time will be radically different the second time you look. There is no constants in a dream...

Ok let me elaborate. A lucid dream is this, you are dreaming, but you are aware that you are dreaming. While in a dream, anything you think becomes a reality, you can make anything happen, and it seems real. Trapped can explain this better because he seems to have more experience. The hard part is definantely remembering the dream, you'll definantely remember when you first go lucid, but it gets more hazy after that.

Towelie, just ask yourself if you're dreaming as often as you can remember. You'll have to try hard at first to remember to ask yourself. After a while it will become completely automatic, you'll be sitting there doing nothing and the thought "Am I dreaming" will pop into your head. That's the key, because when it becomes this automatic you'll be asleep and have no conciousness, then you ask yourself while asleep and suddenly there you are, in a dream. You'll be completely aware that you're in a dream, then the hard part is controlling and remembering it.

That was a really good explanation Oyo.

It is not so hard to be 'awake' in a dream, but it is hard to stay that way, sometimes you will 'wake up' in a lucid dream, and a few seconds/time later, you will slip back into the dream, and not know it.

It is an amazing feeling and experience. You can make anything happen, and it wil feel like a real thing for you.

Remembering a lucid dream is very hard, i am not great at it, i can only remember some dreams, and only parts of dreams, but even then it is strange to remember, because you remember it like it was a reality, not a dream, as your mind was convinced at the time...
