I was just curious if anyone had the lyrics for the song "The Great Escape"? I know its a bit long but if anyone had the official ones i'd really appreciate it, thanks a ton =)

Who wouldn't have seen that answer coming?

...But yeah, seriously. The booklet that comes with your purchased copy of the CD has the lyrics. :D

well i guess for those there are some online recently... i know i personally have an addon so i can have them displayed on my media player while listening, means i can always have my lyrics...

but yeah, booklet. legit copy etc.

It's amusing that everyone is immediately second guessing questions like this. Wether it's for lyrics of a song somebody apparently didn't buy or for help in a certain software for which the asking person seemingly doesn't have a manual and consequently obtained it illegally. We live in a digital time folks, electronic releases are more then common nowadays. Not having the booklet does not mean to be a pirate. How silly would he be to ask on this very board if he indeed was a pirate where everybody immediately starts ripping apart his integrity...

I think that given the user has a new account and did not specify the reason for not having the lyrics, as well as no reply to date is likely an admission of guilt. While i think you are spot on about making generalisations in the ubiquitous digital-era, i think this is more a case of which scenario is more plausible :)

I was looking for an answer for my friend who bought it, and this answered it. I don't check back every second so I don't see why I'm getting bashed with these comments but im getting my own copy soon too...

Oh, so your friend who bought the album from iTunes didn't have the lyrics!

Well, here it goes then:
I tuck you in ever so gently
Still

Wait, I'm sure he can use your copy soon to check out the lyrics.

:D Just having a little fun, Vonslopak, that's all.
Welcome to the forum!!

I've actually been checking the lyrics online recently since I am home for Christmas and I left my CD up in my flat at university  Not sure if I've seen the full TGE song lyrics online yet though, never looked.

But really, JUST getting the digital copy is not the same as having the disc, in 44,1 kHz, with the booklet (in 300 dpi, nice colors) in hand and lying on the sofa listening and following along in the booklet. Alas, the joy of buying a brand new CD over desk (or getting it in the mail) opening it, examining the case, booklet, and then putting it in the player for the first time.

I've bought a record digitally on iTunes once, and it was that digital-only Dream Theater single from BC&SL. It sucked big time (not the music, but not having the CD...)

I may be old school, but man do I appreciate SW for being that as well! Plastic disc FTW!

BTW, nice to see that TGE finally is up on Spotify, now I can listen to it at the gym without having to rip the CD in my computer... :)
