m-audio profire2626. What's ur rate?

For the record I have successfully and repeatedly used my 002 with vegas, soundforge, sonar and cubase.

Lucky! Didn't work for us with Vegas and I really didn't try with Cubase. Not sure I would have kept it even if we did get it going. Again, lack of i/o...

well if any other app has "staked it's claim" on the drivers then the digi i/o literally disappears from other menus. It is super annoying with vegas b/c I usually use that and soundforge at the same time for film/video stuff. Hate.

Fo sho, Vegas rocks so hard on video it's not even funny. Mind-numbingly easy to work in that.

To the guys with the 2626 already or if you know, does it come with a breakout cable for the MIDI and S/PDIF or do you purchase it separately? I can't seem to find that info anywhere...

EDIT: AHA, found it, it does come with a breakout. NVM

I do have one more question for those that know: With 7.4, M-Powered will only allow 18x18, with 8.0 it will allow 26x26 or no?

I don't have 2 ADAT equipped 8 ch. preamps to test this, but all 26 I/O show up in Pro Tools and all 26 can be record enabled and will record. In 7.4, only 18 I/O were ever available. When in a 96kHz session, only 18 I/O shows up in Pro Tools, leading me to believe that all 26 inputs are being seen and treated properly. While it is possible that any tracks over 18 will just record silence, I don't think this is the case.

Does anyone else have this happening? The signal LEDs flicker on randomly with nothing connected to the inputs. You also see this on the profire mixer. But it does not effect recording.
Is it just me?

Saw this happen on the HD rig back when I was in college. Just seems to be tiny bits of noise getting into the system. Nothing I ever was able to hear though so it never caused a problem.

I don't remember seeing it in the first two weeks of owning it. And like I said, recording is not affected.
