anyone know any good magical mantras?
I came up with one tonight for some reason. It's done while holding a dark-colored goblet:

If you want a true spiritual experience hunt down some DMT or go to Brazil/Peru and participate in the Ayahuasca ceremonies.

And for the noobs out there, DMT is the acronym for Dimethyltryptamine, which is a chemical produced in your pineal glad that is responsible for your dreams during heavy REM sleep. It's also a naturally occuring chemical in just about every other thing as well. Ayahuasca is basically a brewed version of DMT. You can also smoke it but the effects are different.

btw, DMT is the most powerful hallucinogen known to man. Or if you want to go the cheap route, get some mushrooms.

But really, it's a fun topic. A mantra is kind of like "applied poetry" right? You can judge them for quality based on the flow/vocab/imagery/etc like with poetry, only they're supposed to "do something" too. I think for the purposes of anyone too skeptical to believe in magic or other such bullshit, the effect is a change in state of consciousness.

Between all the death metal and Lovecraft people on this forum consume, i would think someone's come across a mantra/chant somewhere that they thought was really cool. I probably could post some given my familiarity with Therion, but that would mean wading through a bunch of their embarrassingly bad lyrics, haha

I understand the ability of drugs to induce "spiritual experiences", but the power of words and ritual to do it is a test of the transferability of such experiences out of the private domain of the unspoken. I think this transferability is pretty important considering how easy it is for people on drugs to convince themselves of the meaningfulness/importance of an idea that someone "in their right mind" finds meaningless/unimportant.
