Hey you Utah Maidens types! Who all is making the shows at The Whiskey in SLC on the 28th and 29th?

I of course will be there (I'm the promoter this time around), and am looking for some long overdue Maidens goodness...

The current plan is to offer a $1-2 discount on admission for those showing up in costume BTW. Advance tickets should be on sale next week through Smithstix, 24tix.com, The Heavy Metal Shop, and both Tease -n- Keys.

Tease -n- Keys has asked the gals to drop by one day for a meet and greet at their newly opened location (this will be on Saturday most likely), and we are also arranging an on-air interview as well.

So far, we've confirmed Allyptic (www.allyptic.com) on Saturday night, and The Ozzmenz (www.theozzmenz.com) have expressed interest in playing on Friday Night as well (they are currently tracking down a drummer to fill in for their regular guy for this show). A lot of our other local tribute bands (or members thereof) are heading down to Moab for a gig that weekend, so my plan for an all-tribute band lineup each night hasn't materialized.

Doors will open at 8 PM, with the first band going on at 8:15 PM or so each night. The Maidens take the stage promptly at 11 PM.

That's it for now. As soon as I know more, I'll pass it along here!

hehe no it's not full of them :p tho that is a standard perception. In fact in the 80s it sold more heavy metal per-capita than anywhere else on the planet.

Ah for the good ol days haha

I know Dena from Promisques. She gave me their 2 cds and came out to a Vegas show we did moons ago. Don't think they are together any more tho.

Small world eh!!!! :headbang:

The opening bands are as follows:

Friday October 28th: Live After Death - All Tribute Night

The Ozzmenz (http://www.theozzmenz.com)

and

Achilles Last Stand (http://www.alszep.com)

Saturday October 29th: The Rue Morgue Halloween Bash

Shredbettie (http://www.shredbettieband.com)

and

Allyptic (http://www.allyptic.com)

As mentioned earlier, show up in costume on Saturday and get $2 off admission. If you buy your ticket in advance, I'll refund you the $2 for being in costume at the door.

The panel of judges at the door will decide if what you are wearing counts as a costume, should your attire not be immediately obvious to us. For example, dressing up as a rock musician, since some of you probably do that every time you get onstage anyways, may not get you the discount. However, dressing up as Gene Simmons, makeup and all, well that's another story!!!

We will be giving away a guitar and a couple of other items on Friday, and will also be giving away prizes for best costume(s) on Saturday.

Tickets should be on sale by Friday btw!

This message brought to you by our sponsor (wait for it...)

$10 Advance, $17 Advance for both nights (this rate will be on 24tix.com shortly), $12 each night at the door.

The $2 discount for showing up in costume on Saturday will be resolved at the door, so if you buy your tickets in advance I'll get your $2 back to you at the door on Saturday, assuming our panel of judges agrees that you are indeed in costume.

Prizes will be given away each night, including a guitar and other swag!!!

Okay here's a real scary one, these guys freak me out, cause they'll shoot ya' in order to be cool.

Put on one of those baseball hats with the hood over top, floppy untied shoes, the liquor store armed robbery ski cap and really baggy pants as if to advertise in prison, and be a gang-banger:yow: ….:puke:

Yea then you can use the fake rotten teeth, the stitches, the broken nose gag and the black eye makeup, then you can even use blood stained bullet hole shirt thing for the effect of the initiated gang-banger.

Oh Hell! Haloween is supposed to be Evil looking.

Gettin pumped. The count down starts and we are just over a week before the Maidens triumphantly return to Utah! Tell your friends, tell your lovers! Tell everyone. And don't forget on Saturday the 29th...wear a costume and get $2.00 off the ticket cost!
