Hey there - Manticora asked me to release the following on the band's behalf:
......................................
Hey all,

it's a sad day when another dream is shattered, and such was yesterday. The cancellation of this, our first north american tour is beyond belief for us, and we are mildly put bomb-shelled to learn about Circus Maximus' decision. Right now, we are really too devastated to react properly towards this, and we are very busy, trying to get refunds for flight tickets, cancelling vacations, and telling everyone in our surroundings that "no, this tour also got cancelled, due to reasons we had no control over". Furthermore, a final statement at this point would most likely be "too honest", so we shall re-group, gather strength and get a proper statement out after New Year for you all.

Happy New year, and thanks for the support - it warms!

Manticora

Good luck to you guys. Can't wait to see you around in the future.

After the King Diamond tour cancellation and now this, I'm sure you guys are in a tough position. I hope things start going better for you. Thanks for putting out such great music.

Lars, you'd be well within your rights to blast away, but it's probably just best to take the high road. Hopefully you guys will start catching some good breaks .. it's obvious you are due for some.

Britt

Shows a lot of class on Lars and Manticora's part. My hat is off to them. We were really looking forward to the tour and a chance to hang out with them in Houston. I am so sad the tour won't happen as planned.

It's a cryin' shame, y'all, but I understand. See ya next time, ya hear?:kickass:

Lars you truly are a man full of class and we all admire Manticora for their constant dedication to the fans. I know Manticora has to get a big break in the near future and when you guys do Im sure the result will kick more ass than we've ever witnessed.

I hope everything works out guys and you can get flight refunds and such. This tour was going to be around my birthday and I was looking forward to celebrating with Manticora. Thank you for continuing to put out such great music and for sticking in there, I'm sure you'll get here sooner or later and I promise to be right up front.

I truly feel bad for these guys. It totally sucks to be so stoked for such a great tour and have that all taken away at the blink of an eye. I hope and pray that they get their money back and can hopefully make it to the USA sometime in the near future.

Sounds like bands will have to start taking vacation insurance or something. God damn. That sucks Claus. I really hope you all get the money back. I guess if you can't come on over here anyhow and play a show for us =p

I enjoy Manticora and looked forward to seeing them in the States. I'm really sorry about all this, Lars and Claus. I feel badly for Manticora's U.S. fans, and I feel badly for the members of Manticora.

Obviously, Manticora put their whole hearts into these tour plans. They trusted Circus Maximus to follow through. Frankly, what transpired very much colors my opinion of Circus Maximus.

Hopefully, you will get your money back and, someday soon, Manticora will be able to find a worthier band to hook up with on a U.S. tour.

Hang in there.
