Marduk

Entombed, you say you gave them a "reasonable chance," but then you also said you've only heard 'Panzer Division.' Or did I read you wrong?

If so, what else have you heard by Marduk?

I used to have a CD-R of another one of their albums as well but I can't remember the name of it.

2) The Berzerker is more extreme than Marduk...
3) Immortal owns Marduk
4) Sealabs Marduk owns Marduk
5) Marduk are boring

Another wonderfully contributive post by Mr. NapalmForLunch.

"1) Marduk is norsecore" <----- = credibility G.O.N.E.

@JoelInFlames: I'd love to see them live, too bad the one thing they can't seem to accomplish is securing the necessary VISAs to get into the USA.

They sure didn't sound black metal when I last heard them. And you seem to talk about credibility a lot but enjoy Taco Sauce Pack.
Are you going to call me immature next oh wise one?

that's the thing, I like a few songs but I know people who act like Marduk is one of the greatest bands on the planet and I have to disagree with them.

That's because Marduk are the greatest band in the world! So I will have to disagree with you!

I saw them in the USA a couple of years ago with Deicide and they were great considering the shithole they had to play in. I think they're a great band. Panzer crushes. As an added kudo to them, before they had to play, they were out bullshitting with the crowd and taking pics with people. Legion was running around out there for quite a while. Very cool...

But I couldn't disagree more about the blastfest that is 'Panzer division...', that is one of the most extreme albums i've ever heard.

Then I would say you haven't heard much. I see nothing "extreme" in making an album with just full plain blast beat from start to beginning  That's something anyone could do, it's not extreme, it's just boring in the long run.

But I still think it's an ok album :)

My head is no where near my ass, giggles. The Berzerker own marduk in everyway. The bassist for The Berzerker is the best that I have heard. The vocals are the best death metal vocals. The drummer is maybe the fastest in the world. the guitarist is nothing really special but he is still better than marduk. I have seen them live a couple times and they are the best live band that i have seen. Nothing at all like slipknot. thats retarded to say. And they took an alright carcass song and made it a lot better.

Not that I agree with the guy who bashed The Berzerker either, but neither of you are making very good points... The Carcass song I would say is a lot better, and I don't know what Marduk you have heard to say that The Berzerker own Marduk in every way... Also, its even difficult to compare the two bands, since the one is black metal and the other is death metal... And about the vocals of The Berzerker, what exactly makes them any better than standard DM vocals?

i do not know why I enjoy the vocals more. maybe it is because no other DM vocals sound like The Berzerkers. I never really liked the carcass version but The Berzerker version slays.
