Ken Bran (Original Marshall designer) is selling the second ever Marshall head he built back in 1962. Not that most people can afford it. :yow: Interesting nonetheless...

bwahahahahahahahah

I could go to a junk yard, pull some old caps and resistors out of some old radios, and make an amp that probably sounds just like that. And I would do it for free.

While it may be true that you could put together a bunch of old spare parts and have it probably sound better, I'm sure someone out there, in the situation where money is no longer relative to the decision making part of the purchase, will snap that up just to say they have it.

If I was at a point that money was no longer relative to my decision making, I might get the second Marshall amp ever - that would be a cool ass thing to have as a show piece at the entrance to your studio, at a bare minimum it would be a hell of a conversation starter.

I tell my wife all the time when she see's people paying thousands of dollars for a pair of shoes, or buying $300,000 dollar cars, that money is a relative thing, if you have endless amounts of it, those purchases become like you or I going out and buying a $15,000 dollar car, or a $0.00 pair of shoes. It's all relative.

did you read the questions on the ebay page? lol

Q: Do you still have the original receipt?
A: Sorry im not quite sure what you mean? There is no original reciept as it was never sold. I made it back in 1962 and have kept it ever since

^^ Hahahahaha!

I'm tempted to ask stupid questions like, is it new or used? What emulations do it include? Can I load impulses? is it Firewire or USB?

oh crap!!! you beat me to it!!! i was gonna post that!! hahahah

jesus...can you imagine...i hope he is not the one who buys it.

this could have probably made the seller some serious money well in the 5 figures. but posting it with a 300k starting bid is just stupid imo. just imagine ebay fees alone...

Now I wanna see for how much it really goes. Good for him to get some cash on his latter days.
