...because Keenan forced me to make a topic about it.

well, i don't understand how a metalfan can't like Master of Puppets so i am quite interested in dave's arguments.

though i have to agree with the one who said that Ride The Lightning was Metallica's best album.

so , zenmaster dave, drown us in your sea of wisdom :D

Don't know about everyone else, I always thought ...And Justice For All was their best album... -shrug-

Oh god PLEASE don't make Dave go through this AGAIN

We had a topic get closed (which is as rare as a Solar Eclipse) because an argument about Master of Puppets got out of hand if I remember correctly.

Ride The Lightning IS Metallica's best album.

This, followed directly by And Justice For All. Also;

I've been over my views on Master of Puppets so many times and I quite frankly refuse to rise to the debate on here again, since last time it caused such a shitstorm with the Metallica fanboys on here that Ol actually locked the thread and everyone got a proverbial bollocking.

If you weren't on here when that happened then tough shit to you because I'm not going to rise to an obvious (and if I'm honest, an extremely poor) attempt to get a reaction out of me. You lot can keep the shit on your fingers, that way no one can point the finger at me when certain people - mentioning no names - throw their toys out of the pram.

Nice try, but no cigar. Sorry kids.

I'll admit to my severe fanboyism and creation of the thread that caused the shitstorm.

Which is kinda funny now considering that MoP has come to bore me. It just seems way too much like the link between Ride the Lightning and Justice rather than an album unto itself.

OH SHIT I REMEMBER THAT! Well, not really, as it happened right before I came here, but still. The topic is probably still on here somewhere, it may be better to reead that one instead of starting that mess all over again.

RTL stuff is easy as hell to play but the stuff on MOP will burn your forearm off. Remember downstrokes picking only.

so? AJFA is their hardest album to play. does technique make an album better? RTL might be easy to play, but it is a great album, the arrangements, the melodies... something hasn't to be hard to be great... look at Korn.

...don't make me start a Korn thread

Korn sucks hard. Metallica's stuff is great to me, except the load albums, and St Anger. It doesn't have to be hard to play, just look how basic Black album stuff is. They are respected by the rhythm player for Hetfields tight playing. MOP also is the first Metallica albums without any of Mustaine's input.

dude, are you able to use arguments at all? it's all '' metallica is great'' , ''korn sucks''
it was just an example, man.

make love, not war :Smokedev:
