I am not sure if this was posted on the other forum, but can anyone
View/Listen to the masters one cymbal set on joey's official site? everytime i try to go to the page it says "Sorry, the product was not found". I've cleared all cookies and history and have tried to go onto the page several different times and i can't access it... what about you guys

Damn... sounds pretty awesome, but the whole sample replacing thing is confusing me too much, so I need to understand it before I obtain some more samples. Anyone have a great tutorial for sample replacement in Superior Drummer, or does there happen to be a program which makes a drumset out of samples (I don't think so... but this would be sick!)

that's exactly what superior drummer is (a multi sampled drum instrument).

you can also use kontakt player with samples like steven slate drums or create your own drum samples and map them into your own multi sampled drum intrument.

Joey was really talking these up to me the other day.
Not going to say his new cymbal mixing technique but I am really stoked to get my hands on this set when they drop

you can see the picture by saving the thumbnail and viewing it on your computer. looks like wcar, but eric has a few more sabians since the 'black and gold' samples

Looking so sweet, definately my next purchase sample wise. The Screaming Simple set is really great. Nice to have that extra sparkle that is quite rare in sampled cymbals!

Does anyone know how these compare to oh so familiar cymbals of Superior Drummer 2.0? I think I'm going to buy Joey's snare when I actually start recording (I don't like Superiors that much, and it's only $5!) I just want to know if it's also worth it to get the cymbals, or I should just use the ones in Superior 2.0.. and for use, you just render your drum track without cymbals in S2.0 and then render a just cymbal track in Kontakt?

Yeah I wish I had like Kontak the full version or something. I really dont feel like going and inserting individual cymbal files right now otherwise I would purchased a LOT more of Joey's samples. Does anyone have any advice? Im using the Kontak player with SSD Ex to trigger programmed drums. Id rather use Joey's cymbals since SSD cymbals blow.

Cymbals are waaaaaay better than Superior Drummer! I switched to using Joey's, also becuase they sound more realistic, definitely worth the buy if you use programmed drums/cymbals a lot!

Definitely, knowing that I'll be able to get a sweet snare and cymbals seems worth it. Do I just mute the overheads in Superior and use another program to load the cymbal sounds seperately? I know for the snare and kick it's easy, just load a .gog on the "snare mic" and the "kick mic".. but if I'm replacing all these samples I do wonder... what's the point of having S2.0 anyway? The "mics" dont seem to pick up the samples when you replace them in drumagog. I'm thinking of doubling the ambience of S2.0 with the replaced samples perhaps? I don't know. I'm just sick of wssh wssh wssh cymbal sound in S2.0 :p

You need to get Drumagog to replace your superior drum hits, but you need to your superior to be set to multi-out, so you can mix and work with each drum and cymbal seperately in your DAW and apply drumagog on the kick or snare channel for example, and load the sample, then the sound will be replaced like a trigger

Yeah, but can Superior route each individual cymbal? it's on my computer at home (My laptop at college doesnt have the harddrive space for it) but as far as I remember, the routes were as follows: Snare bottom, snare top, kick, tom, tom, tom... then overhead 1, overhead 2, and room ambience, or something like that. So not a mic for each cymbal. Is it possible to make a mic for each cymbal?

i will be releasing them sometime around the time when i finish WCAR drums which will be a few days after they return which will be sometime around the middle of may

so expect them late may!
