What did you guys think? I thought they played great! The only thing that bummed me out was that they played for only 40 minutes. I guess I got spoiled a couple of days earlier when I saw them in Corpus Christi where they played for an hour and a half. I got to take a picture with Frank after the show. I felt better after that.

But you know what? As short as the show was, I was kinda glad that it was over. I was on the verge of passing out by the time they finished Bring the Noise. It was a combination of the heat, dehydration, the physical effort of cheering and headbanging, and not having eaten the whole day. Not a single drop of drink or bit of food. In fact, i didn't eat til after midnight. (Can't eat now...must worship Anthrax...)
There were several people in the front that passed out. At first I thought they were all body surfing to the front, but my friend behind me said they would pass out and the crowd would lift them to the front, and that a girl actually passed out next to him.
The show was Killer!

Standing in line for the doors to open in the Texas heat probably didn't help either.

And hey, DarbysDad...I finally caught an authentic Charlie Benante drumstick!!
I thought of you when I did, because i know you have one. Still no Scott Ian guitar pick, but at that point I didn't care...(yes, even though I have been a fan since 1987, still no Scott pick from a concert) At that point all I wanted was water and a quiet spot to collapse in! :)

the show was killer......scott did mention that they were going to come back to mcallen with the new album..and he also mentioned "what a good welcome home this is", so i do hope they retrurn..next time headlining...scott threw a lot of picks but charlie did not throw his drum stick very far..i think only the front row people got them..fuck it was hot..but worth it..i bought two shirts (anthrax) only..

hey rob was cool...damn i did not think jonny 5 was that good on guitar..motherfucker was good..good show..as for rob he did mentioned that he would come back next time..we'll see

I loved the show and damn it was hot. I don't know how the crowd can take it so packed in like that.
Zombie just upped our set time to 50 minutes.

I agree, the show was great. I'm just glad I decided to go to Corpus Christi to catch their headlining show. It was longer. The show in McAllen was too short. Also, I thought the crowd wasn't too into Anthrax. Yeah, there was a bunch of people in front going crazy, but the show in Corpus, now that was really crazy!

Hey auntie, I got a guitar pick from Dan. I also got a pick from Scott last time there were here. It's so hard to get them. That's cool that you got a drum stick.

I do. What happen to it :zombie:

lol i was the one at the front doing all the yelling and whistling for anthrax. i lost my friggin voice. i found this site searching for a anthrax t shirt. i bought one of those fake shirts outside that had rob zombie but i really wanted a fake or real anthrax t shirt but didnt have the cash to get one or else no beer. 3rd time seeing them but 1st time with joey belladonna it was awesome one of the most fun times i had even though it was short. best part was watching these young girls looking for a lost shoe. i told them at the start never wear sandals to a anthrax concert. it was their first concert. i told them to stay away from our beer section cuz they woud get showered when the concert started:kickass: man they were pissed at the beer and the missing shoe.

Thats cool. I caught one of Charlies sticks the last time I saw Bush-thrax live in Dublin. Have it sitting in front of me right now.

ive seen them twice before and they seem to usually play a short set and very early. i always got there late around 8 and they seemed to start at 7 at the nipple dome/villa real. when are they coming back maybe i can get that among the living t-shirt that had the old dude swinging around some theatre of pain/drama faces. what was that thing rob zombie had? did he kidnap eddie from iron maiden and turn him into a robot?:Smug: i thought anthrax stold the show. i wanted anthrax back half way thru zombies set. i really wanted to hear medusa? i dont remember hearing that one. nothing like having a good blackout huh? thank God for those nachos to bring me back to life. it was like a sauna in there or atleast hot as hell.:heh:

wow a drum stick thats awesome! i would have settled for those anthrax stickers. hey atleast my friend gave me that dan spitz guitar pick and i just came out on the radio with my lost voice saying the show rocked.:)

I was the female in the front row that got it! :Shedevil:

Later when Charlie signed it, he said, "Oh wow! Yeah, I threw it right at you!"

Told him I had to beat off a guy for it too...landed right in my hand and my friend's hand...and some other guy's hand that I had to intimidate into letting go of it. Ha ha! It was good that I still had some energy left over to hang onto the drumstick and snarl at that other guy.

Yeah there was a lot of the Zombie goth kids around me up front, and some crazy Thrax fans over to the left, but most of them got into it when Thrax got going. It was contagious and most of em caught the disease. I was suprised at this gal beside me up front that was completely not into the music at all. I shoulda slammed her upside the head. Ha ha!

where my wife an i were standing i saw just the opposite..there were a lot of people that knew their anthrax stuff..that made me feel good..especially the zombie kids...not bad..their setlist should have been a little longer..the mosh pit was the shit especially on indians and caught in the mosh..

is there a reason they never play armed and dangerous? i love among the living as my favorite cd but i love that armed and dangerous song as my personal favorite? oh well atleast last time i got to see them at the villa real with pantera which well never happen again.:erk: first concert that i saw lots of kids i guess cuz of summer. i thought kids were only into mike jones or good charlotte. i guess i was wrong.

my sort of old self at age 34 hit the canvas faster than peter mcneely vs tyson...:Smug: but that indians song still is in my head and sounds brand freakin new. whats with Q 94.5 not having any anthrax songs? i have to request rob zombie on the radio to relive the momment or put on a anthrax cd.
