I just moved ~300km/180 miles to my parents house for the summer and of course I remembered to take my RME soundcard and Genelec monitors with me, but I forgot all the fucking cables, including the RME powersupply that isn't easy to come by. So that means I am stuck for 2 months using only the internal soundcard, crappy headphones and no recording possibilities as I don't want to travel 600km just to get 5 cables.

Oh well, atleast the Genelecs and the RME are safe from burglars...

If the rme psu is special you should at least be able to use your monitors with a normal PC cable, even if that means using unbalanced cables.

I run my both soundcards thru a small Behringer Xenyx listening mixer so the connection thing is not the problem, but the thing is that I forgot:

- the RME powersupply
- the long firewire cable between the PCI card and the RME interface
- the second xlr-jack cables for the Genelecs
- both powercables for the Genelecs

And I don't have ANY of those cables as extra with me, so I would have to go and buy them, but the thing is that I am pretty much broke for the next 3 weeks and after that I am going for a month to a cruiseship so I don't see the point in getting them. The thing is that I can get by with just headphones and not doing any music stuff for the next few weeks.

Dude, fucking buy a new batch or suck up the 55 Euro fee, there's no way in hell I could survive without my interface and monitors (especially if they were right in front of me the whole time! )

Power cables are like 2 euros a piece here. A pair of cables should be another 2-3. Isn't there anywhere you can buy some?
