Alrighty, so I've been working on my tone, and now have one of my latest mixes to show, a little song called "Together"

it should be the first song, called "Together - better drums"

I for some reason really like my bass tone in this song, at least considering it's some 99$ no name short-scale bass I borrowed from my kid brother.
I'm still not happy with the drums, but I for some reason can't get them to sound fuller and more present without them overpowering something else.
Any ideas, comments, thoughts?

What did you use for the drums on this song? DFH? Send me your drums midi track and I can see what I can do with it man, I have been using separate samples recently and have been getting a much better drum sound. I'll post a link of a recent drum track in a few minutes.

Sounds like DFH from hell to me.

First i wanna say that i really liked the song! Very atmospheric. The clean guitars and bass guitar sound really really good. Only the distorted guitar doesn't so good, very digital with a lot of highs in there and it sounds like it's overgaining of some sort, i cant really point my finger on it. The vocals are a little overpowering, drop them some db's to make them glue in the rest of the mix. I think the vox sounding a little muffled too, too much 200/300 hz'ish going on and it lacks some clarity IMO. I don't know if all the vocal tracks are on the same volume, what i would do is make one (or two?) tracks the lead track and lower the rest a db or 5/6, so that it's still hearible but it sounds a little more subtle.

And the drums, change them man. Or let somebody do it for you, it's not doing the song justice at all Hope there's something usefull in there for ya

and yeah, it's just DFH. still looking for some samples that fit to what I'm looking for.
