Awesome festival!!
Fantastic bands - Nightwish, Edguy, Masterplan etc
Drink and Food at reasonable prices - and prices that were a fraction of what you'd pay at a London venue or something like the Download festival.
Friendly atmosphere - security staff were helpful and never overbearing or heavy (what a change from the crap we have to put up with at the venues run by a certain large promoter in London
)
Opportunities (official and otherwise) to meet the bands - kudos to the guys from Dragonforce, Powerquest and Edguy (and no doubt many of the smaller bnds, whose faces I don't recognise) for sinking some ales with the fans and being so approachable.
Great venue! Even when it was full, there was room to move and a good view (once again, something I'm unfamiliar with (being London based)).
Great selection of vendors (though I didn't buy much, other than a stack of Biomechanical CDs - Mega thanks once again for that).
Fantastic opportunity to meet up with fellow metalheads from around the UK (many of whom I only knew through messageboards before the weekend). The Uk's family of metal was there!
Top show all round and the most enjoyable weekend of 2003. Can't wait to do it all again in 2004
