was it just me or were joey's vocals damn near non existant for most of the gig . for the record i was up the front slightly to the right also noticed dans guitar work was really hard to hear at times other than that killer gig

i wasn't there but i can say when bands mash these performances in to one another each night and at their ages something has to give and more often than not it's the vocalists voice which suffers the most, i'm just glad i got to see 'em in brissy, nice and fresh :D

I agree with you Maiden. I think they toned the mix down on Dan's guitar and Joey's vocals.. At one point you saw Dan signal to the tech's to turn his guitar up. But regardless of some very minor sound issues, fucking awesome show !!

out of the 4 times i've seen anthrax last night was THE BEST SHOW !!!! that they've put on in melbourne ( imo) they just get better with age . how they do it i dont know but i'm just glad they can do it .

Yup, GREAT show. Damn it was amazing!!!!! Gotta admit to not knowing all of the songs, but probably enjoyed it more than I did last year. Crowd went friggen NUTS.

Also a shout out to Mortal Sin - these guys impressed me very much. GREAT set. To Mortal Sin Bassplayer, I wish I knew who I was talking to out the front of the venue that arvo (I was in the popeye shirt). I assumed you guys were on the local crew. Sorry about that. You guys RIP though. Getting the new album when it's done :kickass:

the sound at sydney was fucking great, only the fiurst couple songs were a bit low in the mix, also depends on where abouts u are positioned i found to the left of the stage to be alot clearer than in the middle.

Yeah I thought the same thing Mr Thrax said ....... I was at the Palace and moved around a few times and it really depended on where you stood. Killer show nonetheless.

honestly timmy how good was the energy, best show since stomp tour, the mosh was fucking crazy, mortal sin totally owned there spot too.

Yea Maiden, I was at the front probably somewhere near you for the whole show. right up in front of Dan, and I think being right up there meant I couldn't hear the full force of Dan's solos and Joey's vocals.

Fuck - Among the Living - to see them play that song with that line-up made me feel like I was experiencing something really fucken special!!

Shout out to Joe and Mick Cruthers(i think I spelt that right) who helped me chase Thrax down the road in their white mini van!!!

i do have to say that despite having the great pleasure of seeing Joey sing, I think the future of Thrax is Bush!

I'm not trying to start another Bush/Joey argument, I'm just stating my opinion.

wonder if the band will post their thoughts on the australian tour once its over . be interesting to hear what they say . i agree with u on the future of anthrax being bush otherwise they'll do just what kiss did , great reunion gigs then they came out with a crap album . imo would be nice to have an album with the original line-up but don't think it's the right way to go

I dunno man. I think it's too early to say whether or not the Belladonna lineup can still write new music together. Imo noone can sit here and say for a fact that the reunion lineup couldn't write any kick ass new material? Until they decide to try to write something together you can't really say that it would be good or bad?

can anyone of you Foster boys and girls tell me how big the crowds were at the show?? thanx!!

the palace was pretty much packed out from what i could tell . a freind told me that it holds bout 1100 people in it which is interesting . suprised there was no room for possible 2nd concerts in melbourne or sydney . would have been nice if anthrax could have had 2 days in each state just to spread it out a bit . the last tour ( 2004 ) the dates were fuckin rediculous 5 shows in a row 23rd of april to the 27th , man they must have been knackered after the 2nd sydney gig . god knows i would be

maybe instead of trying for an album they should test the waters with , say a 4 song e.p. ?.
