Melodic Death

Someone asked me about adding "Melodic Death Metal" (I believe it was Lutz, but I can't remember for sure) to the genre list. For me, it's hard to decide which genres to include and which are really just not unique enough to be their own genre. I don't want to have a billion genres on the site, as that kind of defeats the purpose since there'd only be a couple bands in each genre. Anyway, I can see the point with "Melodic Death" as it is different from regular death metal and there are quite a few bands who play it. What do you guys think? Should I add it to the list?

Also, are there any genres on the list that are unnecessary? Or are there others you think should be added? Or are the some that are unclear or confusing?

Yes from me. Btw. What the hell is the "neoclassical/shred" genre? Never heard of that term before.

Stuff like Yngwie Malmsteen, etc. Really focused on guitars and using it to play some classical sounding pieces, at times. Sometimes it's called shred, 'cause the guitarist just shreds all the time. Is there a better term for that genre? Anyone?

I don't think we should add it (was it really me who said that?). Anyways, even if I did say that, I don't think so now.
What SHOULD be added is Heavy Metal though..

I've gotten a few requests for "Heavy Metal" as a genre, so I added it. Please use the more specific genres when possible.
