+++ UPDATED WITH THE RIGHT LINKS, SRY GUYS +++
so here is my little test on melodyne dna on di tracks of a band i recorded.
this is the first time i ever had the opportunity to change polyphonic material.
it does not work without compromises, but for rescuing i would definately give it a try.
i was never really happy with how this arpeggio turned out when we recorded it. i always felt the
root note was too low. but the player didnt really care... to my ears its very "ugly sounding"

now with melodyne i retuned the low string.

this actually turned out very cool. it was only about 30 cents, which to my ears
means a huge improvement. it actually decreased the volume of the clip (dont know why...)
and did alter the sound of the guitar a little (it seems like it has lost some of its body...)
to take this a step further, i changed the root note of the chord and moved it a up a full step.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3233582/3 guitar tuned + added second root note.mp3
and even a step further i altered almost every note in the chord.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3233582/4 guitar tuned + altered notes.mp3
i dont think this will work for notes with palm muted heavy riffing... but who knows.
i'm going to experiment further! anyone else tried the demo out?
