Mesa Boogie DC-10

Ok so i have the chance to buy a MESA Boogie Dual Caliber 10 head and im pretty interested in buying it but the amp is 1000Km's from me so i can't physically play the head to hear it.
I have owned a Dual Recitfier before which i loved and this DC-10 is kinda cheap and i have read a few reviews saying that it is a nice head but i just want to maybe get some of you guys, who may have owned/used one, opinions before i lay the cash down.
I.e:what is the clean channel like on this as i like to base my sounds off the clean channel and run different overdrives/distortions on the floor.

any help would be appreciated.

I heard a few clips before when I used to be on the HC forums, and it sounded pretty cool, not in the 'heavy' amp range, but still cool.

Had one - great for jazz and blues. Not really a rock/metal amp.
