I asked Tom Quayle to come over to the studio and do a little test, running the Mark 5:25 through a a series of cabs from the Mesa Boogie Rectifier line: 1x12, 2x12 and angled 4x12. Not exactly metal tones, but a fun experiment nonetheless!
To be honest, I preferred the 1x12 for this sort of tone, with the 2x12 a close second.
