Hello to all. :)

I am going to buy new amp and cabinet and my look stops between two:

1 - Mesa Dual Rectifier and Mesa 2x12 Cabinet with Vintage 30's.

2 - Peavey 6505 Plus and Mesa 4x12 Cabinet with Vintage 30's.

As you can see I play mostly metal, something close to progressive death.

Which configuration is better to go for?

I am interested in overall tone quality in prog death for home and small to

medium size gigs. I will buy used in a local store and this two configurations

will cost the same, around 1600$.

Thanks beforehand. :)

Yeah, but $40 for a TS7 and tightness is no longer an issue with a Recto, and it's just so much more versatile and aggressive of an amp.

Hey, thanks for the answers :) It all helped. I ordered Mesa Triple Rectifier and Mesa 4x12 Cabinet, because found out that Mesa sounds far superior to me, than any 6505 i played or heared. It has mondo bottom end and very surrounding sound. Nothing bad about 6505, it is really great amp too, but for me
Mesa Triple Rectifier + Mesa 4x12 Cabinet + Emg 81/85 configuration is unbeatable.

Dandelium - For me is much cheaper to buy mesa cabinet and not framus :)

Metaltastic - What is the TS7 ? I feel that I'm missing the point.

The TS7 is the cheapest version of the Ibanez Tube Screamer, but is EXACTLY the same electrically as the TS9 :)

MAYBE THAT'S CUZ YOU PLAY LIKE CRAP THROUGH THEM BA-ZING!!!!

HAhahahahahahahahahaa, sorry, I couldn't resist :heh::lol:

 Touché!

But, to some degree, that's true. A Mesa Recto is pretty unforgiving, you really need to pick hard and play accurately.

I am from Armenia, and the only way I can buy something is to ask my brother in USA :) That's why for me Mesa is cheaper than Framus :)
So and what tubes do you offer for good sound ? :)
