My point is that Matt Heafy has more good riffs in this album than Manilla Road has their whole career. Maybe you should listen further?

Well first of all I vastly prefer the sound of old school heavy metal to whatever the fuck Trivium is supposed to be.
I love Mark's gruff, iconic vocal style and I love the way he writes epic (in the romantic sense) compositions.

They're like Kansas meets Cirith Ungol or something.

This implies I go back to listen to Manilla Road to, you know, see if I actually changed my mind about it. Do people here do the same for Trivium, Devildriver or Killswitch Engage? Probably not.
