Most of mine have already been said, but 'ere goes...

Cliff Burton, of course, is God. Period.
Steve Harris
DiGiorgio
Tyr
Bassist of Arizona DM band "Vehemence", he does crazy popping.
Eric Langlois, so strange and sick.
Alex Webster, one of my earliest influences in heavy music bass playing.
Sharlee, with the nasty distortion.
After hearing Simen's playing on Borknagar's "Quintessence" I'd place him in the top ranks of metal bassists, a very fluid and melodic style.

Steve Digiorgio - now in Sadus, Testament and Dragonlord, previously in Autopsy, Iced Earth, Control Denied, Death

Steve Harris - Iron Maiden

Jean-Yves Thierault (Blacky) - Voivod
