Hi! This is my first post here on the forum, so I hope I posted it in the right section

I have recorded a Demo tape with a local band at my home studio, and hoped to get some feedback on the mix. I was only responsible for the sound, and I did not play anything on the recording, so I can only do something about the mixing, not the playing. ( I know that the vocals don't sound that good ) If anyone have any suggestions on how to make it sound better, that would be great!

hmm, the guitars, are they real, or re-amped? the tone is quite confusing, there is a lot of distortion with not much actual note something i would suggest is get rid of loads of the high end in the guitars, and bosst the mids! the drums also need to come up LOADS. boost the volume of the kick and snare a shit load! after those things are done, repost and see where we can go from there

p.s. the vocals at 2:04...get rid of all that delay, its just unnecessary

are the guitars compressed? 'cause they sound like they're really choking from something.

vocal style kind of remind of these guys, tight as hell!

The guitars are real, but i used Amplitube 3 (cause i dont have a proper amp ) will post a new mix tomorrow ( its 1pm here ). I also used SoundToys Decapitator on the guitars, so the distortion may be a bit overkill

EDIT: There is no compression on the guitars, except the master track.

Okay, made some improvements to the mix The drums are now louder, and the guitar is less sharp and some other fine-adjustments
