Why would metal have an ideology? Is there a literature ideology? Every work should be judged on its own merits. Plus, art that expresses "ideology" suck because didactic things suck. Art should be about inspiration, feelings, abstract ideas, not earthly ideologies with a bottom line

i think that because of the focus on the indvidual, it really does not matter. i find Metal encourages rge listener to be who they are, and be free of anything they find limitations. example: one Metalhead finds that say...Meat is a chain in his life, and wants to get rid of it to be free, while others find political standing to be a cahin too. some find the following things freedom in themselves. it comes down to being who you are.
