Hey there.

Here's a new song of ours that I recorded/mixed. I recently bought Recabinet, and I have to say: I LOVE IT!

I do essentially plan on using a real amp setup very soon, but for right now, I think this preamp to Recabinet thing is working nicely.

Mix isn't done yet, but check it!

Holy shiiiiiiiiiitttttttt I love that bass.

Info??????? :)

Thanks! I worked hard on all of the tones ya hear.

Gibson Grabber (Amazing for recording!)--->Profire2626--->Studio Devil, for a nice deep sound with Eq enabled---->Guitar Rig 4 with the bass pro amp simulator.. For this I rolled back all low end, I only wanted the crunch out of it. The trick with this is to turn your input level down to about 50% so you have a nice punchy (not muddy) sound----->Wave C4---->Wave l1 ultra maximizer

Then I dual tracked the DI bass and ran it through waves Rbass. This is where the sub level frequencies come from.. Fiddly dick around with that.. After that it went through wave c4, and I pushed down all frequencies except for the lows. I boosted around 62hz.. Then it went through waves max bass.. Boosted that at 62 again, and turned the maxxbass setting up to 9.7.

It's a ton of stuff for the bass to go through, but it gives me the sound I want!

digging the song and the mix. using slate or superior?

Neither. All real stuff with my own samples.. I really need to humanize the cymbals though.. I do a lot of replacement of cymbals with best hits, I just haven't taken the time to change the velocities of a lot of them. Start big and work my way to small stuff.:headbang:

that's great man. you're getting some killer tones across the board.

i think the bassgrind sticks out too much, I'd tame that one a little.
also the kick isnt as audible as it should be at times, it sounds cool though
really tight mix, good work man!
also nice song :headbang:

Thank you for this! For some odd reason that kick gets washed out at times.. I gotta move some frequencies around a bit I suppose.

AudioPhile777- I know! At first I was like "This tone is weird", but after about 10 seconds it really grew on me. It's quite different, but I realllllly love it. It's sort of like The Red Chords tone on their new album.. It sucks at first, but then when you listen to it, it's actually fucking sick.:yell::Spin::dopey::wave:

super catchy riff on the chorus, if you had a pimp singer this would be primo shit

good shit

The guitar edits in the beginning are super awkard (read "early"). But this is fucking sick other wise. I agree that top end on the bass can be a little distracting. I like the bass tone in the clean/solo break more.

Has anyone tried panning the grind of a bass L + R and leaving the subs in the center? I may do that.

Thanksss! Are you saying when they first come in, or the first riff that we play is edited weirdly? Cause I didn't really edit that part, but if it sounds awkward then we'll have to re-record it. And yea, I agree I need to pull down the highs a tad on the distorted bass!

I'd like to hear the L+R grind bass thing you're talking about!:yow:

Wow...That is a lot lol. And I'm going to have to agree about taming the grind on it a little bit, but not too much. ;)

I agree with what they said about bass grind and the strange guitar edits

OT:
:OMG:  :OMG:  :OMG:
Please tell me this song is for Anthem Alone
if so, damn... i gotta audition :loco:

Nice! I dig the hell outta this tune! Especially liking the solo. It's not all flash and compliments the song perfectly!
