New mix for a Punkrockband (real Drums, Marshall JCM 2000 + redwire/recabinet)

There's not much knowledge. Everything we did I have from this forum. Especially micing. I didn't mic up the drumset. I just mixed it but it was mixed up on my needs. I tried to make them spread the cymbals as far as possible.

Mixing that thing was pretty easy. I used a lot of the NASTy VCS channelstrip on allmost every channel. Rules. Its also the first time I used Trigger and I love it. Oh yeah, frist time trying out the RedWires Mesa impulses. I have to try those out with Metal guitars.

this sounds great! what's on your master buss?

Should be something like that:

Req 2 (for hpf and lpf)
Voxengo Warmifier
Mastercomp (whatever works for you - I used the SSL Mastercomp)
Tapesaturation (Psp Vintagewarmer, Voxeng Tapebus or something like that)
GClip

Nice info dude. So you low pass on the master bus then? What sort of area?

hpf around 20-22khz, lpf around 20-30 hz. I only use it if i feel like it's needed and to clear up the mix!
