Who here has heard it? Who wants to?
Information: It's the In the Sign of Evil EP re-recorded and a bunch of other old/unreleased tracks, with the line-up of the ItSoE; Grave Violator, Chris Witchhunter and Tom Angelripper.
I've heard two songs, Outbreak of Evil and Blasphemer and I was pretty surprised actually. I thought, of course, that it'd be a tribute to their old stuff, but I didn't expect anything this raw. I don't know if Mr. Witchhunter is that untight and sloppy on purpose or if he was just mad drunk out of his mind, but that's some seriously fucking bad drumming. On Outbreak of Evil, bad enough to take the experience down a notch but otherwise quite OK, sounds like it would have if he was still 17 and just hammered at the things as madly as he could. The production is raw, not 1983-raw but nowhere close to 2007-polished.
All in all, I like what I've heard and I'll get it. 50/50 novelty/kickassness. And I actually think the cover is pretty kool.
Black metal is the game I play 'cos noone showed me the right way
