I'm not that big of fan of metalcore but I do like the red chord and some smaller, less famous bands

I second the recommendation on heaven shall burn, really great metalcore band. One of the only metalcore bands I enjoy at all, they have good vocals for metalcore.

Yeah HSB has some death-y/harsh vocals. Awesome band, their last album was so great.

Architects is where it is at. Nightmares is pretty much the best metalcore album I've had the opportunity to hear.
