Metalist Fest summary

ok i`ll start with the good news.
MEGADETH played five songs and suddenely Dave stopped the show saying something about the barricade broken down and have to be fixed.

yup.
the barricades were too weak against the pressure of the crowd and a desaster could happen. Now I dont know what made them think they could move a step back 4500 people in 15 minutes, anyway yeah.. l they eventually cancelled the whole show.
these were the best 5 songs played live i`ve ever seen hope to catch up with them somewhen else.


I came while DISTORTED were onstage, they gave a superb show! EXCELLENT sound excellent show, these guys are serious!

then the others shows worth to mention were ETERNAL GRAY which really brike the stage, and german band DISTRUCTION which their music is not my cup of tea but I think they could teach most band how to perform.

Its really a pitty that MEGADETH had to cancel the show...
Ive seen then 3 times and they are... well... MEGA!!!
Their last album kicks major ass!!!!

folklore the only thing that kept me from going this year is the fact that the minute i heard megadave is coming i knew something will go wrong
and i hate to point and laugh but i just knew it won't be as good as the first and second were

Too bad man- they only playes 5 songs! damn!
But guess they were right to not play on when the barricades were broken. i saw it happening on during a Kiss show ( yup, of all bands) People were almost getting crushed by others and it was a dangrous situation.
But why did they not play on when it was fixed?

BTW- great to see that Distorted were playing again this year. They were on last year as well. How was the new material?

the new material is A class.
they`ll soon enough be seen round europe touring if you ask me. seriously good stuff with oriental sounds here and there so its kindda new in female- metal area.


Elish - until the sad incident the fest was much fun great atmosphere and lots of semi-naked girls.
cheep beer too! they even had a new drink made of ice-coffie and vodka.

The Megadeth cancellation sux...
Now. I don't want to sound vicious and not nice in any way, but I do remember when evergrey were cancelled last year, and those hardcore metalists were going "Ah who cares! F**K Evergrey! As long Behemoth is on!". I remember back then, (Evergrey was the main reason (Alongside with OL ) for me and my friends to get a ticket) thinking how would you guys feel if the headliner you were looking forth to see wouldnt make it. Payback? Ironi? I don't know. But the Metalist guys will have a real hardtime reestablishing their reputation, IMHO.
