live from seoul, south korea. a bootleg i just picked up from last week.

their performance was godly. A+ sounding bootleg.

highlights were seek and destroy, battery, the new song, one, and for whom the bell tolls.

pick this up. it gives them half a shred of dignity.

Yea, I saw most of it on YouTube a month or so ago, its definitely a good performance.

They played Disposable Heroes?!?!?!?!!? OH MY GOD!!!! I thought they'd never play that live! Wow, this is sweet. Quite possibly my favorite Metallica song.

Too bad they don't remember how to play Dyer's Eve. I've always loved that song.

It's not a question of them remembering how to play the song...it's a question of CAN they play the song?

Dyer's Eve was sped up in the mixing of AJFA because supposedly it's played with all down-strokes. Yeah...my ass. Hetfield has the fastest right hand on earth, but it's not that fast.

They played it throughout the SHIT IN THE SHEDS tour in the summer of 94.
I believe they played it various times on the St Anger tour too.

dead winter, your sig made my day a lot better. I love sexi alexi (not that way).
they also played orion at most of the show this summer. it was pretty good, hammett got most of the solos on spot this tour even disposable heroes and damage inc. I'm proud of them. THey should stay this way for the next tour, even if they put out a shitty album, it will be definatelly worth my buck to see them live, especially if they play disposable heroes

I saw them a couple of years ago on the St. Anger tour...I was extremely let down by Hammett's performance. His bends were a good 1/4 note flat for every song. It sounded like he actually tuned his guitar down half a step and then just started half-ass bending or something.

But James has still got it...that right hand. They opened with Blackened and rhythmically it was spot on. But then again, James has always been my favorite member of Metallica because he has something that the others lack, IMO.

Damn, I didn't know that. The only time I've heard it being played was 1986.

They played 'Dyer's Eve' twice on the 'Madly In Anger with You' tour back in '03 when I saw 'em. I missed Dyer's Eve by ONE day... I saw them in Vancouver, and they had JUST played Dyer's Eve in Calgary the day before... I think it was Calgary anyway... And it could be a day after... but it was somewhere there... We got Jump in the Fire and Last Caress, King Nothing, and No Leaf Clover beyond the normals.

Was a pretty good show... but I was disappointed by a few off keys, both vocals and guitar... and lars' shitty drumming.
