metallica actually did something worth listening to.

I saw (and met hah!) Metallica last year in Uniondale Long Island and they played Dyers Eve, and suprisingly they played it almost to speed, sounded really good too minus lars sloppy ass drumming and james new found vocals

That's crazy that they played it. I remember reading a few years ago that the reason why they never played it is because they can't remember it. I would have liked to see that. Though, as you put, Lars' sloppy ass and James' sucky ass would have ruined the song for me.

they can still play dyer's eve. What is impressive is tht hammett pulls the solo. Youtube version.
I wish they stay this way next tour. Afterall being influence by dragonforce and trivium is not that bad for hammett, because it makes him practice=>better solos live, due to better technique.
anyway i saw a scary picture with lars in the studio recently playing james' eet fuk explorer...noooo. lars should play drums....on time

not remembering a song is no reason for not playing. they can surely figure it out all over again.

Yeah, which is why I said the whole "I don't remember how to play the song" is fucking bullshit.

BUY YOUR OWN GUITAR TABLATURE BOOK!!!!

I forget how to play songs, but I CAN READ! I CAN READ TABS AND REMEMBER WHAT I WAS SUPPOSED TO DO!!!! If I don't have the tabs, I'll just do it by ear. You're the biggest selling heavy metal band of all time, and you come up with some lame shit about "I can't remember how to play it"?

Lies. They don't have the chops to play it anymore or they're just too damn lazy. Probably a combination of the two.

yeah of course I do, I'd still like to hear some serious Limp Bizkit on guitar ;)

Edit: Btw what happened with Distorted Mind? I used to have that Reflections something song on my computer, and it was awesome.

Hahaha. Quite awesome anyway. Watch threw past 2:30... thats when its awesome.

Well that doesnt sound good, it sounds awful.

Well lars drumming has always been sub par so i dont even pay attention anymore, but regardless james/kirk/rob played the song very well including the solos, i wasnt expecting it at all, i figured it would sound like the Cunning Stunts DVD where they played the kill em all/ride the lightning medley at half speed

agreed. I hope hammett stays this way. Lars nowadays doesn't even do the double bass completely in the outro of fade to black like on the justice tour, that pwned. If he does it, it is out of time with kirk's solo and is not as powerful as if it were on time. Maybe james needs to sodomize him more often with a drumstick
