Metallica - Death Magnetic

You guys are faggots, this is going to be Metallica's best album ever and it's going to be the catalyst to bring in the new generation of thrash metal. They are gods.

Gods ? You mean like Manowar ? c'mon dude ... metallica doesn't give a damn about their fans or their music ... they are recording a new album only for the money , they are not the band they used to be ...

The only thing I hope for this album, is that they can bring back a few key factors that made them Metallica. Riffing, dark lyrics, great fills, and good overall song writing.

I'm trying to figure out if you're serious or not. I was the biggest Metallica supporter, and was BEYOND excited for St. Anger. the disappointment it gave can't be reversed. I'm at least hoping for something listenable this time around.

I don't even think it's possible they could put out anything as bad as St. Anger again, so at least they've got that going for them.

Don't forget the labyrinth arrangements and metal thrashing madness.

I even like bits of St Anger. I accepted they're not the same kids that made Ride a long time ago. For that matter I loved the 90s material too.

I doubt it would as terrible as St Anger, but I don't think it's going to be mind blowing.

I think that this album would probably tie their 90's work, at best.

I'm on Mission Metallica just to see how they go about promoting this one. I remember being part of all that hype of Stanger, with high hopes, watching Jump in the Studio daily, reading any review I could...

This time, I'm going in with really low expectations, but with hope that they can pull off an album that can rid their 10 year past of crap... I don't think they can, but I'm sure we'll see a song or two of glory.

I very much like Load and Reload, but I don't tie them to the same band that made the first 4 Metallica albums.

True. The presidio sessions would be an off release though. From what we've heard of it, it was very reload-like.
